These SureFire EarPro EP4 Sonic Defenders® Plus earplugs are sold as a set of 25. When placing order, one unit is equal to 25 sets of earpieces. The SureFire EP4 earplugs were designed with military and law enforcement professionals in mind. Each earpiece features a triple-flanged stem for fitting larger ear canals. Once in place, the EP4 sound suppressors provide a Noise Reduction Rating (NPR) of 24dB, suitable for use while out on the range or while in the field. This means that the SureFire EarPro earplugs are capable of blocking sounds above 85dB from entering a user's ear canal and from ultimately damaging one's hearing. At the same time, lower-level, safe noise will still pass through with ease, enabling users to maintain normal conversations and activities. If desired, an additional filter may be used to block out more noise. This feature may be used while on an airplane, for example.
Discreet Hearing Protection
Each SureFire EP4 earplug is constructed from a soft yet durable and hypoallergenic polymer for all-day comfort and use. In fact, the earpieces are able to last up to six months, with proper care and usage. These EarPro Sonic Defenders® Plus earplugs utilize the company's patented EarLock design for a secure attachment to a user's ear. The retention ring fits snugly within your concha bowl and prevents movement, while the triple-flanged stem seals the ear canal. Due to the placement of the plugs, users are still able to wear a helmet or a headset comfortably! Please review the sizing chart to find the right sized earplug for your needs. Please note that each unit has an identical flanged ear canal stem designed to fit within the user's ear canal. The sizes--small, medium, and large--only refer to the outer retention ring.
Compatible with Radio Communication Systems**
In addition to hearing protection, the SureFire EP4 earplugs may also be used with radio communcation systems, by simply removing the noise-reducing filter and by attaching the earpieces to the system.
