"Wanted a way to carry batteries without them touching or shorting out. This does that fine. I like the lanyard that comes with it, so you could carry it that way if needed. Mine resides in a back pack, but it's nice to know I have spares when required. Most lights that run on 1 or 2 CR123's last around 4 hours, so having this with me ensures I have at least 2 nights of full bright light. Run them on low or medium, you have enough batteries for a week."
