work-tough inspection light
"I like this light for home inspections, esp. the metal build compared to plastic penlights"

The Fitorch EC05 is a slender but powerful penlight and EDC flashlight. Designed to be used outdoors, this penlight is also incredibly handy for numerous other professions and daily tasks. Powered by two AAA batteries (single-use or rechargeable), it is reliable and easy to find backup batteries when the time comes. Cycle through the three different brightness modes and one signaling mode with the singular tail switch. The tailcap boot is texturized and large enough so that you can even find it easily with a gloved hand. When not being used, the sturdy (and removable) pocket clip, lanyard, and nylon holster all offer other ways of convenient carrying.
Although you might find penlights used most often inside, this light was built to withstand the punishment from outdoor environments. Waterproof and impact-resistant, you can accidentally drop it in a puddle or use it in the rain without fear of damage. Let the EC05 light your medical, professional, industrial, or even household tasks with one hand!

"I like this light for home inspections, esp. the metal build compared to plastic penlights"
"This penlight is just over five inches long and feels well made. The rubber clickie requires only a half press for momentary ON. A firm press is needed to it turned ON completely. The modes are well spaced at High of 215 LU, Med of 70 LU and Low at 10. Med looked more like 40 LU to me. The penlight has a Memory mode too. The tint is Neutral White. The hotspot blends in well with a bright and useful spill light. The specs state High will run for 2 hours and ramps down to Med after 3 minutes to avoid overheating. With a fresh set of Alkalines, after 3 minutes, I did not see any noticeable step down to Med. The flashlight did not make a drastic step down until after 40 minutes to about 40 LU. I found the lens and bezel did not get hot and barely became warm on High. I tried all modes at that point and found High and Med were both the same at about 40 LU and Low was more like 1 LU. After 45 minutes total, the light went out. I was disappointed with the results. The tailcap and the bezel can be unscrewed from the body. If either end is not screwed on as tight as it can get, the light will not function. There is no leeway even though there is a spring in the tailcap. The threads are smooth and came with adequate lube. The light comes with batteries, a spare rubber clickie boot, 2 spare o-rings, nylon holster with Velcro flap and a metal pocket clip. The clip is my least favorite part of the package. It is weak and even worse, it will continuously spin around the body of the light. No matter how tight the tailcap is screwed onto the body, it will not prevent the clip from rotating. This makes it difficult to get a good grip on the light. The light has some shallow grooves in the middle that cover a little over an inch of the body. Additional grooves that were more aggressive, would make for a much better grip. This was my first Fitorch flashlight purchase and I wanted to see the quality of the light. Overall, I am barely satisfied with the purchase and would be much happier if the runtimes were longer."
