Same Parts As Original Cardiac Science
"An automatic defibrillator is a device you depend on to work every time. What good is saving money when a life is at stake? On that basis, I thoroughly researched the AED Battery Exchange replacement for my Cardiac Science defibrillator. I found out that it is made from original parts and that it is re-celled from the exact same manufacturer components as the original. In addition, I learned that replacement AED batteries must be FDA approved. I downloaded the documents from the FDA. I read the pre-market approval now needed to legally sell AEDs and replacement parts in the United States. Since they are sourced from the same parts manufacturers, the ABE batteries carry the same warranty as the original Cardiac Science part. After I did my homework, I ordered the re-celled battery. It is professionally remanufactured with all parts indistinguishable from the original. The seams were evenly aligned with no rough edges. The only way I could tell the difference was by the label. Of course it passed the power on self test. In a few years we will be able to confirm identical lifespan as the Zoll/Cardiac Science part. In the meantime, I am doing my part to support re-celling and saving plastic."
