"I opened a remote that I was worried about battery leakage. To my surprise , they were the original batteries (2-AAAs)that were in it. GP BATTERIES !!! They still looked bran new, with no leakage!! Am ordering some 9v s for my smoke detectors. Unfortunately, I won't be able to order the AAA s as they only come in bulk :("
