Description
The JetBeam BC10 is a compact, portable flashlight perfect for every-day-carry. It is powered by one CR123A battery, and output 270 lumens, which is amazingly bright for a flashlight of its size. The intuitive user interface is extremely user-friendly; simply rotate the bezel to change from a high output to low output mode. The type III hard anodized finish and aero grade aluminum alloy body make the exterior extremely durable, and the diamond-shaped knurling ensures a better handgrip. Features and Specifications

Great EDC light for the money

"I have to say I think the JETBeam BC10 is a screaming bargain for the money! I've had two to date, my current one and one that was stolen from my jacket while it hung in the office at work. For two years it split EDC time evenly with a Surefire E1b. First off, the build quality of the BC10 is really good. The threading is nice and smooth and the finish is very good looking. It has proven quite durable, too. The light engine is excellent, a little bit cool but not as blue as most lights in this price range. The BC10 has an orange peel reflector that gives a nice bit of spill while still having a good hot spot. The tail cap is a forward clicky with a soft rubber boot and a good feel. The cap is somewhat protected by flanges but it will tailstand, albeit being a bit wobbly. All the BC lights have the same excellent UI. The light has just two modes, HIGH and LOW. You change settings by twisting the head a partial turn and it stays in whatever mode you leave it. This is vastly superior in my opinion to the various logic/memory modes of other lights that force you to memorize a series of button pushes to cycle through to the mode you want (which always seems to be 20 clicks away). Two modes is plenty for me, and great for emergency use. It's also simple to use, a virtue if you lend the light to a non-enthusiast. The only minor potential issue with the construction of the BC10 is that there's no spring at the head end of the battery compartment; the CR123A cell is right against the circuit board. A hard drop would in theory at least be more likely to damage the board than it would on a light with springs on both ends. However, in practice it has stood up pretty well and I'll note that my Surefire E1b (at $150 USD) also has just a bare board at the head end. This is probably done to keep the overall length of the light short for carry. As with the other BC lights, the pocket clip is basically worthless. It doesn't grip very tightly, either your clothes or the light. It pops off easily and is pretty flimsy. It must have cost JETBeam about a dime to make. Almost worse, yet it attaches about 1/3 the way down the body of the light. It's a very short body to begin with so the light doesn't ride very deep in the pocket. Coupled with the poor clip, it makes it kind of hard to secure the light against loss. All in all, these are pretty minor issues, given the very low cost and overall high quality of the light. I've moved to an Elzetta Bravo for EDC, but I still carry the JETBeam BC10 at times. It's a lot of light for not a lot of money. Recommended!"

Beam needs focus

"Nice bright light. I liked the reduced power setting, I just wish the beam had a tighter focus for distances."

Sorry I bought it

"I recently purchased two Jetbeam BC10 flashlights from Battery Junction that were on sale for what seemed like a good price. I will be returning them. The biggest complaint I have is that on high mode both lights only stay on for about 15-20 seconds before they overheat and go out. This is with RCR123A 3. 0v batteries installed, so I'm not overpowering the lights. They obviously don't have a proper heat sink design. Maybe I'm the exception, but I need a flashlight that stays on longer than 20 seconds. Also the overall quality seems sub-par to me with poorly cut threads that have a gritty feel and are un-anodized. The described 'diamond shape anti-roll design' is nonexistent, except fo the pocket clip the case is perfectly round and will roll easily. Guess I'll be seeing how good Battery Junction's customer service for returns and will update this review as required."

Super Small Light

"GREAT SMALL LIGHT. I CARRY IT CONSTANTLY AND ACTUALLY FORGET I HAVE IT, UNTIL I NEED IT. I AM A ELECTRICAL LINEMAN, WORK A LOT AT NIGHT, EVEN DURING REGULAR HOURS OFTEN GO INTO BUILDINGS WITHOUT POWER, AND RELIABLE LIGHT IS A NECESSITY. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT I DON`T HAVE TO GO THROUGH DIFFERENT MODES TO TURN THE LIGHT OFF AND ON. IF I`M DRESSED I `M CARRYING THIS LIGHT DAY OR NIGHT 24 / 7. SUPER BRIGHT AND VERY SMALL WITH A GOOD THROW FOR ITS SIZE. I ALSO GAVE MY WIFE ONE TO CARRY IN HER POCKETBOOK. I ALSO BOUGHT THE JETBEAM BC25SE (SAME LIGHT SLIGHTLY BIGGER AND A LOT BRIGHTER)"

Good flashlight

"This my first Jetbeam. I will purchase Jetbeam again."

Great Light

"This JetBeam BC10 is now like an addiction. I have one everywhere, in the house, car, truck, this light for the amount of light it puts out on one CR123 battery is simply great. I have one in my tackle box, car, truck, ATV (you'll notice when I like a light I buy like 6 of them). Heck when you find a light this good, I buy them. Light throw's good, and has good coverage close and far. Fits in the palm of your hand, and I've yet to have any failures with any of them. If I had to pick one light at this price range it would be this light."

Great EDC choice.

"I have used this light for nearly a year, and am very pleased with it. The combination of build quality, simplicity and price make this a winner! The light output and cool white tint suit most of my needs for EDC. Well done JETBeam, and thumbs up to Battery Junction for the low price and speedy service!"

BC-10. . . COOL EDC!!!!

"Received this small pocket light from B. J. a few weeks ago. It a small, edc-able, light that outputs the same amount, if not more ,light as my older fenix Tk 11. The BC-10 has slightly flood like beam, and produces a *wall of light * on high. It is good for close to medium ranges. Perfect for a little single cell pocket light. The kind of light you would want to explorer a large creepy old house. . . A really good edc for the money. . . ."

Delighted with the BC-10

"I have had the BC-10 for over two months now and believe that it is a great EDC flashlight. The beam on high is intense, has a pure white tint and strikes a nice balance between throw and flood. The low beam is fine for most purposes indoors; it is a bit too bright for use when rolling out of bed at night, but that seems a fair price to pay for the simplicity and ease of use of the dual mode. The workmanship on this light seems excellent. Finally, the current regulation in this light is outstanding - the light on high mode stays very bright until just about the last few drops of juice in the battery. The only issue I have had with mine is that the tail switch is very difficult to disassemble (say if one wanted to replace the rubber boot). I scratched up the holes and surface of the retainer ring pretty badly using the included tweezers-like tool in trying to loosen the ring, but to no avail - will need to contact Jetbeam for some help if I really needed to replace some part or the entirety of the tail switch."

Another Great JetBeam B Series Light

"This is my second JetBeam light and second purchase from BatteryJunction. Both are Five Star! Previously, I had purchased a JetBeam BA10 as my EDC light (see my review). I chose a AA powered platform as I use my light constantly and inexpensive AA batteries or rechargeables are readily available. My wife needed something compact, easy to use, but very bright going to her vehicle - sometimes at night. After looking at what was available on the market, I decided to go with a CR123 powered platform and got her this BC10. It is smaller that the BA10, but being CR123 powered has a much, much higher, light output. Like all the JetBeam B Series lights, the UI is very simple and straightforward - I did not want her fumbling through all kinds of different modes just to get a bright flood of light. Because of that, I think this is the ideal light to give/recommend to friends or family who need a very bright, simple to use light source. We are using Titanium Innovations CR123s - also available from BatteryJunction - to power this light."
