Revamped Version of Advanced Lithium Batteries
These brand-new batteries are a revamped version of the older kinds of Advanced Lithium batteries from Energizer®. These cells are now known as Ultimate Lithium. Their voltage is 9V, and their chemistry is lithium. They are a primary battery, as opposed to a rechargeable. 9V batteries are commonly used in smoke detectors, so they have an important and a valuable function around the home. These particular Ultimate Lithium batteries are sold individually, each packaged in its own plastic bag.

Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V batteries are long-lasting -- at nearly 10 years of shelf life, whether or not they are in certain devices. Now your child's toys can go further on their batteries, and so, be more efficient -- Ultimate Lithiums can hold onto their power and energy levels for up to 20% longer than another 9V that Energizer manufactures -- the Max®. Tired of cumbersome 9Vs? Well, the Ultimate Lithium is at least 1/4 lighter than a typical 9V alkaline primary battery. Energizer has built these batteries tough -- with an anti-leak structure that ensures the user much security when handling them, as well as when they are fitted into various devices that are compatible with 9V batteries. Ultimate Lithium cells have another attractive feature, too -- they're able to operate in both high and low temperatures: from -40°F to 140°F. You'll be wanting some of these batteries for your smoke detectors, etc., so be sure to stock up!

Read before you buy these for general use.
"After reading the data sheet, it is clear that the Eveready Lithium Ion 9Vbattery has specific advantages and disadvantages. Don't run out and spend $8 on a battery if a good Eveready $1 battery will do. Buy the Lithium Ion battery, if you are going to 1) keep the battery in storage, not in use, for a very long time. You will be able to pull it out of your cabinet after several years and trust that it will still have more or less the full output and it will not be leaking acid. Also, if your application requires extremely low current draw (think microamps), the battery will maintain a reasonable output for a very long time and, again, not leak acid all over your electric equipment. Note that the power output of the Eveready Lithium Ion battery is lower than the standard lead acid Eveready 9V battery. So, if your application is for something that riquires more power over a shorter lifetime (think things with motors or heating elements), you are far better off buying the lead acid battery and be careful to remove them from your equipment and properly dispose of them before they start leaking, which should be well over a year. There is more to be said here, but hopefully this will help Everyday customers think about buying the right Eveready product for their specific application. The Eveready 9V Lithium Ion battery is quite amazing but is not for every application."

"I have very expensive test gear, and I only trust Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries to power my gear. They seem to last forever! I have some gear that has Energizer Lithium batteries in them for the past 10 years, and they are still going strong! AND most importantly, they don't leak! However, the 9V can be a little snug in some test gear as it has square corners versus rounded corners on other brands of 9V batteries, that's my only 'beef' about this battery."
