While most batteries suffer poor performance and rapid-loss discharge rates at colder temperatures, the 2900L doesn't even shiver, and is capable of discharging at least 70% of its capacity with a 0.2C current at -30°C. A battery this good can't only be used once, which is why Fenix utilizes lithium-ion chemistry to provide this cell with 500+ recharge cycles.
