CR123A Compatible
Another reason that the CL09 Lantern stands apart from its competitors is the CR123A battery compatibility. CR123A batteries can withstand temperatures as low as -40°C while still providing hours of runtime! The light, when running on a CR123A, can be used in some of the harshest environments making it the perfect lantern for high peak mountain hiking and cold destinations. Moreover, when using the CR123A, the CL09 lantern has a peak runtime of 150 hours of flashlight use! You will get hours of long-lasting bright lighting almost anywhere.
Transportation Made Easy
The Fenix CL09 LED lantern is designed to be ultra-portable. It is extremely compact and can easily fit in the palm of your hand, while still providing 360° of illumination. On the LED light there is a magnetic tailcap, a D-ring, or an optional hanging loop. All of these options allow you to use, or transport, your lantern in several ways including: attaching it to a flat metal surfaces, clipping it to your back pack, looping it onto your tent, or so much more! There are hundreds of ways to carry your light as you travel making it one of the most portable lanterns Fenix has to offer.
Virtually Indestructible
Constructed of some of the toughest aircraft-grade aluminum and optical grade PC materials this flashlight is going to withstand normal drops without damaging your light. It comes with a premium Type III Hard-Anodized finish that will protect your lantern from being scratched up during use. The lantern has been given an IP68 rating and is completely submersible up to 2 meters for half an hour. Included in the packaging is an extra O-ring that will help protect excess water from leaking inside your lantern and causing permanent damage.
