Lighting Technology

CREE LED

The E99 Ti comes equipped with a CREE XP-E2 LED and will produce a very bright 100 lumens. You can use the reliable twist switch with one hand to cycle down to the 27 lumen Mid mode and finally down to the subtle 4 lumen Low mode. A quick twist back and forth on the head of the light will allow you to switch between the three different outputs. The digitally regulated circuit maintains constant brightness even when the batteries are getting low. You can also use the E99 Ti in candle mode by sitting the light flat on its tail.

Power

Widely Available and Inexpensive

Powering the E99 Ti is a single AAA battery, which can be a primary alkaline battery or a rechargeable NiMh battery. The choice is yours. I personally would spend a little extra on the rechargeable NiMh battery, so you can recharge and save money in the long run. The E99 Ti is IPX-8 waterproof, so you don't have to worry if it starts raining or you accidentally drop it in a puddle of water.
