The Fenix HL05 LED headlamp is designed as a small, compact light for effortless portability and storage. This "colorful night elf", as it is affectionately called, is miniature in size yet still packs a powerful punch when it comes to versatility and use. The Fenix HL05 measures just 1.42 long and 1.5 inches wide, therefore taking up little space when stored in a backpack or a knapsack. The small-sized headlamp is also extremely comfortable when worn as weighs just 0.46 ounces (13 grams). Available in 3 bright colors, the Fenix HL05 is easy to find at the bottom of a bag and also adds style to any hiking or trekking outfit. The LED headlamp is also incredible versatile. In addition to being worn on a user's head, the light may also be detached from the strap and clipped onto a backpack or a hat for more visibility at nighttime. This gives users a great tool for finding fellow hikers on a trail, for example.

At such a small size, you would think that this light is simple when it comes to output levels and modes. This is however, not the case. The HL05 headlamp offers 2 output levels of white light as well as a constant-on red light that is perfect for protecting night vision. Additionally, the Fenix light offers a red flashing mode that is ideally meant for signaling or for warning others. This particular output has a 400-meter visibility and a runtime of up to 280 hours; however, with the effective flashing light, it's doubtful that you will need it for that long. The Fenix HL05 runs on 2 CR2032 lithium coin cell batteries (included with purchase), which have a 10-year shelf life. Not only are these batteries extremely lightweight and therefore easy to carry with you on a trek, but they are also incredibly easy to replace and are also affordable. Please note that the coin cells have a 3-year standby time from the time the insulation sheet is removed.

Easy Operation

No Extra Buttons & No Tedious Press-and-Hold Requirements

The Fenix HL05 has a simple interface that makes it incredibly easy to operate and utilize. A silicon cover is located over top of the LEDs, thus making the body of light double as the switch. To turn the headlamp on or off, simply press the button and hold for about half a second. A single tap alternates between high, low, red constant-on and the red flashing modes. There is no need to twist a dial or hold the button for longer periods of time. A simple press will immediately change the output level. Another great feature of the "colorful night elf" is its 180-degree rotating design, which gives users the ability to easily adjust the angle at which the light is focused. Whether you a participating in a nighttime hike or are reading a map, the angle of the beam from the Fenix HL05 can be adjusted to point in the the direction you need.
