Fenix TA21 Tactical LED Flashlight
Fenix has done it again with the TA21 Tactical LED Flashlight, their enhanced sequel to the TA20 Flashlight. Like its predecessor, the TA21 uses a sophisticated CREE XR-E Q5 LED to produce up to 225 Lumens of constant illumination, along with a number of dimmer settings and tactical outputs. However, unlike the TA20 which only featured 3 constant brightness outputs and a strobe output, the TA21 comes with an astounding 9 constant brightness outputs for more specialized needs as well as a trio of tactical outputs including a Strobe Mode for disorienting a target, a Flashing Mode for marking your position, and a S.O.S. Mode for signaling for help. The TA21 is able to run on either a pair of CR123A batteries or a single 18650 rechargeable battery, able to run on its maximum constant brightness for 90 minutes and its lowest brightness for 170 hours on a single charge. The flashlight is operated using a pair of specialized switches, including a Tailcap Switch for momentary or full activation and deactivation, and a 360° Rotator Ring below the head that can be swiveled to cycle through all 12 outputs clearly marked on around the ring.
In addition to its impressive output, the TA21 features a specialized design that enhance its durability and functionality. Constructed using aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, the TA21 is built with an anti-roll, slip resistant design and is coated with a hard-anodized finish. The LED is protected by a toughened ultra-clear mineral glass lens with anti-reflective coating and is surrounded by a textured reflector that helps the light beam reach as far as 200 meters away. Internally, the TA21 features digitally regulated output to ensure the light produced is constant and consistent. The flashlight even comes standard with a Reverse Polarity Protection Circuit that prevents damage caused to both the TA21 and its batteries from improperly inserted batteries. With its plethora of outputs and its rugged design, the Fenix TA21 is the perfect flashlight for any tactical user.
