Almost perfect
"This is a great all around light. It's got a well defined medium sized bright spot that's uniformly bright across its width with no brighter or dimmer areas and it's got nice even spill light as well. This light isn't the best thrower nor is it as floody as some prefer. It's a happy medium. At 3K lumens it's nice and bright. The two button setup at the rear of the light is easy, simple, and intuitive. Fit and finish is Fenix standard. The USB port and charge indicator light are covered by a threaded cover that twists down for access. The USB port cover became stiff after a few months of use but a little petroleum jelly helped smooth its action. I have experienced stepdowns in available brightness related to excess heat or lack of charge. This is expected behavior. Unfortunately, I have also experienced a few times where brightness was stepped down even though charge was good and the light was cool. These events require loosening and tightening the tail cap to restore the light's ability to reach full brightness. Though rare, these events aren't exactly confidence inspiring. I deducted a star for these random downgrades of brightness."
