Just more Chinese crap
"My light is new and works for so I can't say anything against it's function at this point but I purchased this and dug all over trying to find what kind of replacement batteries to order with it. I use my light all day and need backups charging to swap out and bought what appears to be some pretty rare Samsung 21700 batteries because I don't want any of the Chinese batteries everyone else sells. You can't get Samsung anywhere without paying more shipping costs than the battery and I found out Fenix uses proprietary batteries, and falsely advertising them as well. These new 5 number Chinese batteries are all crap and now they don't even have uniform sizes. The Fenix batteries are 6mm longer while still calling them a 12700 and none of their information states that they use the protected button top either. I now have batteries I can't use, I can't order any more quality brand correct button top ones without most likely losing money on them because they'll still be too short and even Fenix's batteries aren't sold anywhere. The only place it seems you can get these Chinese size batteries are from a handful of online sellers like this place or you are stuck with the super cheap no name Amazon ones that will burn your house down if they even work more than 2 weeks. Seems we're screwed for any quality industrial flashlights now that Streamlight can't make a decent light anymore and all their battery cells are also China manufactured and only last maybe a year."
