Lots of Upgrades

JETBeam has been making upgrades all across their lines of flashlights. Next up to receive a makeover is the BC40SE, which was already a beast of a light. JETBeam has gone ahead and upgraded the XM-L2 LED to push out more lumens and a longer run time in High mode, which means a brighter light intensity. Also, they've added a power indicator just below the head, so you can manage your time and not be left in the dark. Quite a change has been made to the body of the light, giving you a much better grip with in hand. An added anti-roll tactical ring makes sure it doesn't roll around and fall off of any surface. The new "U-shaped" tail switch design prevents accidental activation. All in all, it looks like JETBeam has improved upon the original BC40 in all the right places.

Lighting Technology

CREE XM-L2 LED

JETBeam has pushed the CREE XM-L2 LED to emit an extra 80 lumens, putting you at 980 lumens, while in High mode. They were able to extend the run time from 1.5 hours to 3 hours in High mode. The Low mode has been increased from 115 lumens to 200 lumens. Now that is a nice jump in brightness. You still get the 350 meter beam distance with the BC40SE, which is about the length of just under four football fields. The high efficiency, digitally regulated output circuit maximizes the power usage and controls the heating.

Power

A Variety of Options

Powering the BC40SE is either four CR123A/RCR123A batteries or two 18650 cells. You don't have to worry about inserting the batteries the wrong way, as there is reverse polarity protection. New to the BC40SE is a power indicator, which is necessary if you are out camping or in the field. Keep a couple extra batteries on you so you are good to go. The BC40SE is waterproof to IPX-8 standards meaning you can dunk the light under water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes with no damage to the batteries or the light. Features:
