- What does unprotected mean ?
- Lithium ion batteries either come with a built in protection circuit or without one. The protection circuit keeps the battery from over charging or over discharging. In an unprotected battery, that circuit is not there. The unprotect batteries are often used in battery pack and the protection circuit is built in the device that the battery is being used in. We recommend a protected battery unless you are building a battery pack or the device clearly states it needs an unprotected battery.
- Can i go from a JET Beam HL40 21700 Battery to a JET Beam HL51 21700 Battery for my flashlight as they are both 3.6 volts? Are they the same size as to fit in my flashlight?
- Yes, you should. The difference is only in the capacity of the battery.
