Now, Even Brighter
The PA40, with its ergonomic, flat body design, is now even brighter. Measuring in at just over 7", the PA40 is constructed from both reinforced carbon fiber composite and high strength aero-grade aluminum alloy, making it extremely durable and lightweight. Lighting Technology
CREE LED
Fitted with a CREE XM-L2, the PA40 is now able to churn out a blinding 680 lumens, with a maximum throw of 250 meters, up from 170 meters. Accessing the four different output modes is done by pressing tail switch, which will cycle between the 680 lumen High mode, 220 lumen Mid mode, 50 lumen Low mode, and finally the lowest mode, which puts a subtle 2 lumens. With a maximum run time of 150 hours, the PA40 is perfect for hiking and camping.
Power
Widely Available AA Batteries
Powering the PA40 are four AA batteries, which can be sourced just about anywhere, especially here at Battery Junction. A battery indicator located by the tail switch will keep you in the loop on power management. The PA40 is IPX-8 rated waterproof up to two meters, so you don't have to worry about the batteries or the light getting damaged, in the event it starts to rain or it accidentally gets dropped in a puddle.
