The body of this battery pack is made from the same anodized aluminum that the XT30R is, and shares the same safety ratings and rugged durability.

"This is a unique battery pack as the flashlight body is also a proprietary battery case. When you need to change batteries, pull the head and tailcap. . . . install on the new battery and you are ready to go. The design prevents charging of the depleted battery due to the terminal being on the head so don't expect to charge while using the light with the new full battery. While this is unusual, it does work out well and having a few BP2 packs is never a bad idea! Overall, very pleased with the product and the Battery Junction had the most reasonable price. Arrived in good shape, good packing, and fair transit time for free shipping."
