Klarus G-30

Powerful, Reliable LED Flashlight

KLARUS presents its new flashlight, the G30, which is sure to please fans of other KLARUS flashlights. KLARUS brings reliability and trusted product performance to consumers, and the G30 delivers on both these fronts. There are four brightness levels on the G30, including a Turbo mode of 2450 lumens; a high mode of 900 lumens; a medium mode of 300 lumens; and a low mode of 15 lumens. The low setting is also referred to as the moonlight mode. A 2450 lumen strobe and 900 lumen SOS mode are also available on the G30. The burn times on the G30 modes are: 1h 40 min. for Turbo; 5h 40 min. for high; 18h 55 min. for medium; and 260h for low. The G30 utilizes three 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, and it carries an up-to-date CREE MT-G2 LED bulb. It has a water and moisture resistance rating of 8 and an impact resistance of 1m.

Unique Dual Power Switch

The KLARUS G30 has a unique dual-switch feature that allows for the user to access the flashlight's on/off function and also to click through the different brightness levels. One switch is on the tailcap, while the other is on the flashlight body. The side switch has a lock on it so that your KLARUS does not turn on unintentionally when it's in your pocket or in your purse or in some other place that's physically close to you. Doing this saves battery life and power, so you're not inconvenienced the next time you pick up your light to use it. The peak beam intensity/Candela rate for the G30 is 12100cd. What that number means is that the KLARUS G30 has the lighting power of 12,100 candles. The beam/throw distance is a wide-ranging 220m, so you can do everything from lighting up your backyard at night to illuminating sidewalks in the dark, if you're walking back to your car. There is an LED indicator on the flashlight that gauges battery level and status and it alerts you when your battery is low or is dead.

Will Quickly Become Your Favorite EDC!

The G30 contains a built-in mechanism that regulates the flashlight's temperature, so it will stay at a tolerable temperature for the user; this method also preserves the integrity of the LED bulb's power. Both the battery and the flashlight are shielded from any potential problems in terms of batteries inserted wrongly, through the G30's reverse polarity protection. The design of the flashlight is such that the tube is joined with the battery compartment; this lets the flashlight be handled much more easily by the user than other flashlights of a similar size but with a separate battery bay. The G30 is made from Type III aircraft-grade, military-standard, CNC-machined hard-anodized aluminum that weathers wear extremely well; it is black in color. This flashlight also has a mineral glass lens that is super clear and has been hardened and tempered; it is coated with AR film plating that stands up to scratches and is very tough. The reflector has the ability to give the user both a tight and a broad beam, whatever suits the user most. The KLARUS G30 includes a lanyard and one spare O-ring, and comes with KLARUS' five-year warranty. KLARUS has introduced a flashlight with a revolutionary new design and new features that will quickly become your favorite EDC!

Second Time the Charm

"I don't like to return things but the first was buggy. Turbo would last for a few seconds. And there was a chip out of the body. I am sorry but I didn't want a chipped new light. Second one came in perfect as far as I can tell. And the Turbo stays on. Used it to change a light in a dark stairway and then used it to shine through the new bulb to see the socket behind it. Some think its to big. While its not a pocket light, I like the form factor and look forward to more hefty lights for the collection. The dual switches are very accommodating. The only change I would like is a little more recess for the tail switch. It tail stands ok but wobbles a bit. A light like this could be emergency lighting for a large den, small classroom or conference room. Less wobble would be nice."

just buy it!!

"puts out a wall of light in front of you and has good distance also. i have bought two of these because after looking and comparing for quite some time these had the best runtime/power combo. very happy with them!!"

Skillet (5/5)

Good light. . . . but

"I found this light overly bulky, for what it provided in output. I think that it would have been far better if it had been constructed to accept the 26650 battery, as in the G20, as opposed to 3x18650 batteries. It is cumbersome to hold and carry. In addition, I had trouble with it when first received. It would not light. I had to remove and replace the batteries (all fully charged), several times before it would light. Even now, when replacing the batteries, I have had to remove and replace the tailcap 2 or 3 times, to get the light to work. I am very cognizant about having the two endcap pins align with the two receptor holes in the flashlight, before screwing the endcap into place. I had reported this problem to Battery Junction, soon after receiving the light, via their online help section. I was advised that they were unable to respond to my question, via the help line, and was asked to submit an email to them regarding the problem. I sent them an email, explaining the problem, and have not received a response from Battery Junction regarding my problem. Very disappointing"

Feels and looks like a good light.

"At over 50% off got this light to put in the tackle bag for night fishing. However, after checking it out, it's going in the car for emergencies. Was a little worried about the pins (from reviews), but just kind of eye-balled them and they slipped right in. So don't know if after time they get dirty (or bent?) and become harder to line up or what, but no problems right now. I like the bigger diameter of this light, which gives you a nice solid grip. Only gave 4 star's because it's been less than half a day with the light, so need to update later."

Awesome flashlight!

"This is one of my favorite flashlights. It lights up the complete back yard (about 1/4 acre). I can also light up our whole cul-de-sac during storms."

Great Flashlight!!

"I bought this flashlight due to long trips on the road at night incase I got stuck. I also bought it for my morning walks in the dark. It's a great light and battery life is awesome - even if it sits for a few months. It's so bight I've had cars flash their high beams at me when I accidentally pointed it straight ahead on the sidewalk. I only gave it 4 stars because it is quite large in size for walking with and it's heavy after about 2 miles of walking. Other than that, the build quality is great and the functions work flawlessly! I would recommend this to anyone looking to light up anything at night in any large or small area. However, i would not recommend this for walking or running at night."

great light

"Having owned several lights- this one is definitely a keeper. G30 is a bit on the big side but if you need lumens, this one can cover your needs. It also has a soft side - moonlight is good (not too bright). Makes it very useful. Had no problems with any batteries, flat-top or button-tops. They all worked fine."

BIG!!!

"Its a handful but easy to use and it will hold its highest setting for over an hour. None of this 3 minutes only on highest. Its a wide beam."

William (4/5)

Very powerful flashlight!

"This is a very powerful flashlight. Turn it on at full power and it completely lights a room."

Kerby A. (5/5)

Very bright light

"Solidly constructed. Really like the dual on/off switches. My preference is the side switch but can see the use of the tail switch also. Very bright light, but I was surprised that the beam distance was not as great as a similar flashlight that actually has less lumens (disappointing). Still a great light for open area or building searches."
