Nitecore Superb Charger SC2

"This is a very good headlamp. I mainly use it on low (4:00 am) first thing in the morning, low is perfect for not waking up everyone. The battery life is pretty good on the lowest setting. I don't use the higher settings because HIGH is bright. Too bright probably disturb the neighbors."

"I will definitely be usinng this with early morning walks this spring"

Useful but with a big flaw

"The HM3 headlamp does have a lot going for it. The light is small, light and rechargeable. The three levels of brightness do a great job of illumination and as such fulfill the main job of what I bought this light for: providing light when working in places that need to be lit up. Even at the ""Low"" setting, you're getting 40 lumens for 5 hours, as the specs say. The headband is fully adjustable and comfortable. I can even use this light as a back up when going hiking. But the big flaw that this light has is the hinge which controls the adjustability of the angle. That's what lets you point the light output and keep it there. This hinge mechanism is just a relatively soft plastic cylider with horizontal ridges on it and another, opposing plastic protruding ""hand"" that uses friction against the said ridges to keep the light housing at a desired angle. The plastic is bound to wear long before the rest of the light breaks. Without the angle stop control, the light housing will just flop around, making the light kind of useless a headlamp. This type of mechanism is quite common on variety of headlamps, at least the ones I bought in the past, mostly for trail use. Oh, the light has one other feature, two red LEDs that have only one mode - blinking. It's kind of useless since they're of really low intensity. It would have been really nice if the red LEDs had a steady mode and more power. I find that mode useful for middle of the night bathroom breaks. But for $ 21 (that's with shipping charge), it's a very useful little light."
