"Great for walking the dogs light shines forward and down at your feet."
"This sounded like a light I would like to own considering the amount of features it has. It appears to be well made and should be durable. I found it to be larger and heavier than expected and I don't see carrying it. It will be placed where I expect to have a need for a light with more output than my EDC. Additionally, you would think for light costing over $100 the manufacture would include a higher capacity proprietary battery. The 3400mAh batteries cost you an additional $20."
"I have been using this flashlight for over a year now. I use it around the house, in the shop, for self defense, and I have used it on camping trips. It is very powerful and that 1050 lumen power was very useful walking dark paths at night while camping. It's a blindingly bright light at full power and at most of the lower settings. The light was steady and did not exhibit flickering or other variations. It takes many kinds of batteries but the rechargeable feature is the reason I bought it. It works great. I charge from a 12 V DC regulated power supply with a 12 v to USB converter. While camping I charged it from the truck's cigarette adapter with my 12v to USB converter. This makes it very easy to keep the flashlight powered up. The side light is very useful for throwing a diffuse light. You can set the light upright and use the side light for many shop tasks and other lighting needs. Very smart feature. There are two things I don't like but neither is a showstopper. #1. . . the belt holster. too small to fit the light. Somebody was asleep when they designed the holster which, if it fit right, would be great. #2. . . The controls require holding the buttons for a different periods of time to perform different functions. This allows two buttons to do all kinds of different things which is great. But it can be confusing. As a tactical light I wish they had a button near the end of the light which did one thing. . . activated the strobe. In a self defense situation you don't want to be fooling around trying to remember what sequence to push or how many seconds you have to hold a button down to get what you need. If I could give a 4. 5 star rating I would give this 4. 5 stars. But since these are relatively minor flaws I have given the light 5 stars and recommend that others consider purchasing it. Bree"
"I ordered this flashlight for my son for Christmas based on prior reviews and the Battery Junction writeup. Wow, is this flashlight versatile! Not only is the main beam bright at 1050 lumens, but the walking/area light feature is equally as useful and fun. The fact that a user can light the main beam in addition to the floodlight really helps illuminate particularly dark campsites, trails, etc. The magnetic charger that comes with this light works excellent, and charges the rechargeable battery (included) quickly and easily."
"The Klarus RS20 is an awesome flashlight. Although it lacks the versatility of some of the Nitecore products (the SRT6 for example) with the Smart Selector Ring (that enables for an infinite variation in light output), the switches make intuitive sense and the side-mounted LED is very useful to illuminate an entire room. The magnetic charging system is amazing. But the belt holster is a joke--it's too small (you need to pull the head of the flashlight through it to the point of ripping in order to secure it) and doesn't afford any protection to the flashlight."
"The magnetic charge cable is the best charger on anything I own. No broken sockets, plugs, cables if pulled hard just pops off but holds strong otherwise must be a super magnet in there. When not in the use the charging plug can be stuck to frig or wherever, doesn't make electrical contact unless it's on the light's charging socket(also has a green and red led charging indicator where the charger plugs in). The side light I though might be a gimmick but I have used it as much as the front light. I spent 4 hours putting in a water heater in an unlit tiny utility room and used the side light the whole time. It was ideal because I didn't have to constantly aim it and I could work hands free. It is also ideal for a tent light or night light because of it's very dim moonlight brightness setting. I also used it to light the ground while walking through various yards and pointing the front light out ahead. A lot like walking in the day time as your peripheral vision can see the ground easily as it is well lit. I also like that each light is on a separate button/circuit if one fails the other should still work."
