When it comes to underwater exploration, photography and videography the Klarus SD80 is simply the best and brightest in the business. This diving light features 8 separate CREE XM-L2 LEDS, which when powered up can produce up to an astonishing 5000 Lumens! The SD80 is also equipped with an HPE red LED for advanced color distinction underwater, as well as an ultraviolet LED that can bring out unique and beautiful bioluminescence from sea creatures. This light is designed with photography in mind and emits light at a 110° angle for a wide beam area. Including a handy ball joint, this light is ready to be attached to photography equipment underwater or on land.

No One Man Should Have All That Power

The SD80 has several options for powering those 8 hungry XM-L2 LEDs. For primary batteries the SD80 relies on the power of 8 CR123A batteries. This light also has a rechargeable option, by using 4 18650 Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries. Using either set of batteries, the high mode can remain activated for over 1.8 hours at 5000 lumens. The Low mode can last for up to 4 full hours, and is no slouch in brightness at 2500 Lumens. The SD80 is also equipped with a unique power indicator function that alerts users when the battery power is below 30%, changing from green to red.

With a boatload of safety features, the SD80 is designed for deep water exploration and heavy daily use. This light is rated at an FL1 Standard, and is waterproof and submersible up to 100 meters. The body of the light is crafted out of high quality aircraft grade aluminum, which has been further treated with type III hard anodization to prevent dings and scratches. The electronics of the light are protected from overheating with a special internal recycle conductive structure. The lens of the light is 4mm thick and crafted from toughened glass with diamond coating. All together these features make it a tough light for tough jobs!Features:
