Introducing the latest iteration of the ST30 from Klarus, the ST30-U. The ST30-U is now smaller and more compact, features a simpler user interface, and now includes a lock-function to prevent those accidental activations. Now measuring in at 8.5" the ST30-U is still constructed from aero-grade aluminum with a military-grade hard-anodized finish, giving your a durable and more compact experience. Klarus has gone ahead and removed the tail switch, Moonlight mode, and head/tail bezels, leaving you with one on/off/mode switch and an easier-to-use interface. All-in-all, the facelifted ST30-U looks to be a powerful, simpler to use, and durable upgrade. Lighting Technology

CREE LED

Equipped with a CREE XM-L2 LED, the ST30-U outputs a scorching 1080 lumens with a maximum beam distance of up to 307 meters. The Mid and Low modes have been upgraded, now outputting 410 lumens and 100 lumens, respectively. Accessing the various modes has been made easier, with a short press of the single side switch to turn on and switch modes. A double press of the side switch will activate Strobe, while the flashlight is On or Off. Double press again to access SOS mode, and finally press once to return to your original mode. Speaking of, when a lighting mode is switched on for more than 3 seconds, that mode will be memorized, automatically returning to the last used output.

Power

Primary or Rechargeable

Powering the ST30-U are either four Lithium CR123A batteries or two Lithium-Ion 18650 cells, giving you a run time of up to 22 hours. Now added to the ST30-U is a lockout feature, preventing your from accidentally turning the flashlight on. Simply hold down the side switch for five seconds, until the light flickers twice. To unlock, depress the side switch three times in quick succession and the light will flicker again twice to indicate that you are good to go. The ST30-U is IPX-8 rated, meaning it is waterproof and will not damage the batteries or the light, in the event it is dropped in puddle or it begins to rain.Features:
