Description

Klarus XT1A Tactical EDC

14500/AA Flashlight

The Klarus XT1A tactical EDC flashlight is back and is better than ever! This handheld lighting tool was originally available as a 1xAA light with a maximum output of 180 lumens. The new-and-improved Klarus XT1A has been rejuvenated and redesigned to deliver an even brighter output of 1000 lumens. This compact EDC flashlight is now compatible with the more powerful Li-ion 14500 battery and also includes the latest in develop of High Definition Cree LEDs with the XP-L lamp. Put these two features together to create a 1000-lumen flashlight that is small enough to carry with you everywhere, yet powerful enough to illuminate your campsite with ease.

Same Tactical Design, Now With Even More Features

While the Klarus XT1A is brighter and can now run on a 14500 battery (included), what hasn't changed is the light's overall design and user interface. This tactical EDC light still features the dual tail cap switch for effortless operation - one button acts as the primary switch, while the second allows a user to easily cycle through the different modes. As with all flashlights within Klarus's XT series, the XT1A offers two interfaces to personalize your experience: Tactical and Outdoor. The Tactical Setting interface is designed specifically for use as a tactical defense tool, offering instant access to the light's defensive Strobe and emergency SOS modes. The Outdoor Setting interface, on the other hand, is best suited for camping or hiking with its instant access to the 5-lumen Low mode. In-between uses, we recommend activating the light's lockout setting to prevent the flashlight from accidentally turning on, while stored in your pocket or pack.

Intelligent Power Design

In addition to having versatile settings to accommodate users' varying needs, the Klarus XT1A tactical flashlight also includes a built-in battery capacity indicator that notifies a user of the light's remaining battery power. Now, with the XT1A EDC, there is no longer a need to play the game of "how much juice does my battery have left?" The 1x14500 flashlight is equipped with an LED indicator light that flashes for five seconds when the light is first powered on. A green indicator represents a full battery, while an orange light means that the battery has between 30% and 70% capacity left. Red means there is less than 30% capacity left, while a flashing red light means that the battery needs to be recharged or replaced immediately. As an added bonus, the rechargeable 14500 Li-ion battery that is included with your purchase is equipped with a built-in Micro USB port for quick-and-easy recharging. As you can see, the Klarus XT1A tactical flashlight has been dramatically upgraded to suit the ever-changing demands of an EDC light.

I love my Klarus XT1A Flashlight

"I take it everywhere I go."

Don (5/5)

Flickers using 14500 batteries

"After cleaning contacts and fully charging 14500 Klarus rechargeable it came with at 4v, starts flickering which didnt do before. Doesn't flicker using AA though, but AAs are underpowered"

Jessie E. (1/5)

Powerful!

"This is a powerful everyday carry that fits in your hand and most accessory pocket in cargo pants. I carry it everyday because I work in a building with no windows and weak florescent bulbs and often need a light. It's also great when walking around my yard at night."

Bob (5/5)

New EDC

"After receiving this light it quickly became my new main EDC, replacing some Streamlights, mainly the 1L-1AA. As great as the Klarus is, it's not perfect. The cool dual switch system is very handy but I find the paddle switch often gets activated while in my pocket and I'm not unscrewing the lens to prevent that, I find that to be assinine. Partially diassamble your light so you have to turn the bezel before you can use it? No thanks! Also the USB port on the included 14500 has already stopped working after only 3 recharges, unacceptable. I really do like the light, but probably am going to be a one and done with Klarus after this."

Hawk S. (4/5)

Smaller sized Tac. light.

"Quality, fit & finish are very good. Program options are good. The lever on the back of the light can be programed to strobe. Overall I really like this light."

Michael (4/5)

Perfection!!!

"Didnt think it could pull off 1000 lumens and the times didnt sound right but it can do everything they say it can. Was also worried about after been at 1000 for too long it dropping to the next level 80 lumens, but that not the case it will only go down to 300. Favorite flashlight in my collection!"

Christopher H. (5/5)

Great value in a powerful and small package

"I really like the features and ease of use of this light. I think the size is perfect for a EDC light and is incredibly bright for such a small light. I have several small lights that I have paid more for and some I have paid less but this is by far the best value with the best features. The double push button low/high feature is the best and most usable. This is my first Klarus light but probably not my last. I can not recommend it high enough. There are a lot of lights out there to choose from, but none better that I know of, or I would have it! Just get this light and enjoy is very useful features and blindingly brilliant output, you will not be sorry."

Gary (5/5)

A new level in brightness/size. Who needs street lights?

"This light does the job of one that's 2-3 times the size. So far, because of it's size, I've used it as a running light for night runs. Really lights up the road at turbo. There seems to be adequate capacity in the enclosed battery to last the entire run--being mindful of using the turbo setting judiciously. Seems well made, but, there's a defect on the inside cap threads maybe due to the use of a tool during the installation of the led module during assembly. The threads are not anodized. Not a big issue because the o-ring seems to seal the cap well. The threads and o-ring did not arrive generously lubed; however, it might seem that there was very little silicone applied at all. The clip looks good. It's stiff and a little on the big side (like it should be). However, the part that holds it onto the flashlight (the grippy part) has eroded the black finish on the light. It arrived that way. Maybe it's that way because the clip hold the light firmly, or the anodization isn't hard enough."
