The filters used are highly efficient, replaceable, particulate HEPA filters which can handle rough air quality conditions with ease. To ensure your visibility goes unobstructed, they are low profile, meaning they protrude from the mask as little as possible. These are also designed to be as light weight and small as they can be to prevent breathing resistance.
