420HC Steel + Cerakote-Finished Aluminum Build
Two of the best things about the Leatherman K2x Multifunction Knife - besides the Leatherman craftsmanship - are its durability and its weight. The K2x strikes a fine balance between edge retention and ease of sharpening with a 420HC stainless steel knife blade and tool set. The choice of aluminum alloy for the handle keeps the K2x at 4.9 ounces, purposely weighted to be as portable as the average pocket tool and to last not just one long haul, but every haul and back again.
One-Handed Opening Instructions:
Flick: Press on the thumb hole, depress the FREE release all the way down, and flip the blade open. Apply pivot lube as needed to achieve desired effect.
Press: Apply concentric pressure to thumb hole on blade - always opens easily when done right.
Operation Note:
Correct manner of closing for optimal safety is to press on the FREE release tab and then close the knife blade.
