Description

The new Proton PRO features a single high-power 2-Watt Cree LED, producing a penetrating, focused beam of light that is 2-3x brighter than the multi-LED array of the standard Proton flashlight with no reduction in battery life! When brightness, size, and cost matter, the Proton Pro is the best choice in single AA flashlights.

The Proton Pro is designed to perform in extreme conditions, heavy rain, sub-zero temperatures, or anything else Mother Nature has to offer. This Powerful flashlight produces over 1,000 candle power from a single white LED. Proton Pro is made from aircraft quality aluminum with type III anodizing, O-ring seals, and a hardened glass lens. This ensures that the Proton Pro flashlight is ready for your next adventure.

The Proton Pro is equipped with Freedom Circuitry which provides variable brightness, 3 signaling modes, and automatic SOS mode in both red and white beams. All of these features operate easily from a single button. Measuring only 4.25" in length and weighing only 1.6 ounces, Proton Pro is lightweight and easy to carry. With a custom belt holster, the Proton Pro is an easy to add accessory.

Proton Pro also comes standard with an Energizer Lithium AA battery, which is the only type of battery that works in extreme cold conditions. Proton Pro can also use any other type of AA battery, but works especially well with NiMH rechargeable batteries.

If your Proton Pro shuts off after a few seconds, turn back on and hold the button down until light shuts off. This removes it from point of purchase mode.

Strong, Bright, Finger Size!

"This is one well made flashlight! Strong mental body, strong removable clip and very bright light! The best part is the light is just a little bigger then the \'AA\' battery it runs on, so wearing it on your belt or keeping it on your keys is not an issue. It takes any standard AA battery (it comes with one installed) but I would use a lithium for long shelf life and no leakage. The red beam is very bright too but both lights can be scaled down in power & brightness. I\'m not crazy about the holster but who cares? The light is great! Better buy two, when the wife sees it, she\'ll want one. LOL!"

Impulse buy

"I\'ve been looking for a strong single AA LED light for a while. This thing is awesome! Highly recommended for every day carry light. It is small, bright, and quality made. For me, battery source was prime concern. I can\'t stand lights that use 3 AAA power. I love this Proton! I have approx 20-30 flashlights, and this is now one of my favorites."

Great Little Flashligh

"This is a great little flashlight. It will get the most out of the battery before you have to discard or recharge the battery. The multiple modes are really cool. Accessing the multiple modes with the single button may be confusing to some people. This light is plenty bright or dim for whatever your doing. My favorite small flashlight !"

EBL Lithium Battery Issues

"I have several of these Proton lights. Love them. Have a pile of new EBL lithium rechargeable 1. 5v batteries. Some of these new batteries work with the Protons, but most do not. Strange thing, they usually will illuminate the red light, but it is impossible to get the white light on. These fully charged batteries have been cycled a few times, and work fine in other flashlights."

AWESOME

"I AM A FLASHLIGHT FREAK. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A SINGLE AA LIGHT WITH GOOD ILLUMINATION. THIS IS IT. I HAVE SOME OTHER LIGHTS THAT TAKE 2 AA BATTERIES AND THEY ARE NOT NEAR AS BRIGHT AS PROTON. I HAVE ONLY HAD MINE ABOUT 2 WEEKS THE ONLY THING I SEE THAT MAY BE A PROBLEM IS THE RUBBER PROTECTOR THAT IS OVER THE ON /OFF SWITCH MAY COME OFF IF SUBJECTED TO TO MUCH PRESSING. IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND WANT MAX LIGHT IN A SMALL PACKAGE THIS IS IT. SERVICE AND DELIVERY TIME TO ME WAS GREAT. THANKS."

The Light at the End of the tunnel

"Customer service promptly sent me an e-mail this morning giving me the option to return the item. I decided to call them first and the gentleman who answered the service call was extremely helpful. The problem stemmed fromthe fact that somehow I didn\'t receive operating instruction in my package. THe Battery Junction rep explained to me that that this item is shipped in a coded way as to only stay on for a few seconds because people who might test these lights in stores may forget to turn themoff and thus degrade the battery. In order to get the Proton Pro to work correctly you must turn on the flashlight and hold the button down for about 20-30 seconds. The light will grow dimmer and eventually shut off. Then, when you press the \'on\' button a bright steady beam will emerge and stay on until you turn it off. It is a powerful , illuminating flashlight in a tiny package and the unit is on sale today (9/18) and is $10 lower than when I bought it last week. Last monthI ordered enerloop AA and AAA rechargeable batteries and a charger from Battery Junction and delivery and price were excellent. Now I can say that customer service is excellent also. One Note. When calling cutomer service , an automated voice will prompt you to stay on the line by pressing number 1. And every minute this gets repeated over and over. So you just have to keep pressing number 1 (when prompted) to keep your place in line should there be callers ahead of you."

Even in 2019 it's good.

"This as an old light. I have Fenix, Nitecore, Olight and many others that all get rough use but for some reason I grabbed this 2006 flashlight. It's the uniqueness of the light and the fact it uses 1AA. I unscrewed the head to lubricate the dry O-rings and tried it underwater. It passed a shallow (1. 5 feet) water test for 40 min without issue. After a couple of days using the light I found it's very usable for every day use. Though I'm not totally fond of the silicone button as it seems kind of soft for a light marketed as a 'rough use' light. I still quite like this and would definitely buy this again."

Best Pilot Flashlight!

"I work as a part time flight instructor. I have found this flashlight to be the best flashlight for night flying. I keep one in my headset case always. It has a red light - perfect to keep your night vision at its optimum but also a very bright white light for preflight, etc - with JUST ONE BUTTON. No longer will you push the wrong button and turn on the white light wrecking your night vision when you meant to turn on the red one. There is a short learning curve to remember to hold the button for red and tap the button for white. It only requires one AA battery - which is perfect because I keep spare AAs for my headset as well. I require all my flight students have one for any night flight!"
