A Chameleon For Any Situation

The Nitecore Chameleon Series is designed to bring you mid-sized lights with ample power coupled with colored LED's that fulfill a variety of special tasks. Every member of the Chameleon family is built from hard anodized aluminum and features O-ring seals that allow it to be submersible in water up to 2 meters (IPX-8 Rating) . The Chameleons utilize a tail-switch for activation, and two side-switches for mode selection. The first side-switch cycles through the primary LED's five outputs, which range from a .1 lumen firefly mode, to a 440 lumen turbo. All of this makes for a pretty standard 18650 style light with all the durability and premium hardware we have all come to expect from Nitecore, but they didn't stop there. Each member of the chameleon family also comes with three more LED's, one set of two provide a moderate, but effective red, green, and blue illumination, while the secondary LED provides a brilliant light with a color specific to each model in the Chameleon family! That means every light in this series has an ultra-bright white LED, a secondary colored LED, and a third set of auxiliary LED's that can be accessed instantly with the side-switches! The Chameleon family truly blends in to fit its environment, with features that make it perfect for hunters, campers, law enforcement, and emergency preppers!

The CR6 Chameleon features a red light as its secondary LED. This spectrum of color is ideal for preserving night vision. Imagine, you're navigating the campsite while the others are fast asleep. Your eyes have adjusted to see your surroundings and the night seems to come alive as the forest glows in the waning moon's light. Suddenly, you realize you've dropped your compass on your way across camp. Your night vision is good, but not good enough to make out the compass against the dark, leafy ground. Rather than shine the primary white light across the ground, ruining your treasured night vision and potentially waking up your camp-mates, switch on to the red LED of the Nitecore CR6. The soft red spectrum will provide enough illumination to find your gear, and when its switched off, you'll still be able to navigate your way around without the aid of an intrusive white beam.
