Love this Versatile Quad AA Light!!!
"This is really a review about my purchase of this flashlight and Xtar Li-Ion AA 1. 5volt 3300 mAh rechargeable batteries I bought to power it. I also bought the Xtar 4 battery charger. I charged four of the batteries up fully and put them in. It has a separate on/off switch from the light level switch, which is nice. On high, it puts out a VERY bright, focused beam that illuminates a very LONG distance. Didn't measure it, but I would estimate a football field at least, and farther than any flashlight I've ever owned. I timed it on High several times, and it went five minutes twice and 7 minutes once, and got really hot, so hot it shut itself off. I could have tested it over and over again as it cooled off, but three tests was enough. Max 7 minutes on high. I put in newly charged batteries and timed it on the lowest setting. It lasted 214 hours. That's right, just two hours short of 9 days. I couldn't believe it. I don't know which is making me happier, the light, or the rechargeable AA batteries, but I am WAY happy either way. I would easily make this purchase again. I love having this powerful, long-lasting AA light, and batteries that I can literally use hundreds of times. I won't even use them very often. Flashlight, batteries, and charger are going right into my emergency kit."

Easy to use, bright, durable.
"After four years of using this light I have to say it's excellent. It has the separate on/off button and then another button to go through the brightness settings. Uses any AA battery chemistry which is why I got this. Alkaline will give you less light output and less run time, Lithium will give you better output and slightly better run times than alkaline but cost more to operate on. I recommend and use Eneloop Pro's with a smart charger and get the best of all worlds. Full brightness and long run times and affordable. However, it's nice to know that in a pinch I can use any AA chemistry. I have used this light pretty much every night for the past four years while out on our acreage at night with our dog. I have dropped it on our wood deck, gotten it soaking wet and it just keeps working, That's why I bought another one for my wife. For the money this is an excellent all around light. Battery Junction has great customer service, prices are very good and their batteries are fresh. In my opinion, they are the best in the business."

POWERFUL AA LIGHT!
"A POWERHOUSE LIGHT WHICH RUNS ON 4 AA BATTERIES. THIS LIGHT IS SMALL BUT PUTS OUT OVER 1000 LUMENS WHICH WAS UNIMAGINABLE A FEW YEARS BACK. EXCELLENT TO HAVE IN AN EMERGENCY KIT, CAR AND HOME. I LOVED IT SO MUCH I BOUGHT 5 FOR MY FAMILY MEMBERS. . . . . A MUST HAVE LIGHT"

Best Nitecore
"This is truly the best Nitecore made even today on March 25 2018 and there is no other Nitecore of any style size or performance that can beat this light yet, in my opinion of course. Im a cool white lover in the led options cause it seems easier at long distances to point out darker or shady objects and the runtime along with the lumen breakdown are a perfect match for me and then throw in some AA Energizer Ultimate Lithiums and its game on with no end. . . I can't seem to say enough good about this light and the only smallest issue I have with it along with a lot of other light from all sorts of companies is that the flashlight still drains batteries even when turned off but just ever so little but over time you could run into the situation that could be called bad timing. Still overall a darn well near perfect flashlight made from one of the very best flashlight companies in the whole world."

The light has a lock out feature! Pay Attention, people!
"I swear I feel like half the world is populated by Charlatans. This light is fantastic and I have noticed that most of the bad reviews are in regards to it draining the battery when not in use or it accidentally being turned on. If you people would pay attention and RTFM you would notice that if you hold in both buttons for a few seconds it will lock the light out and the batteries will last a year."

"I was hesitant about this light - size, weight, battery consumption. My fears are all gone. The light is very easy to hold and operate. Batteries are not a problem and last much longer than I anticipated. At this point I am pleased with the construction of the light, durability will take a bit longer to assess"

Great light for those needing more bang for your buck
"Great flashlight for those needing something to carry on their vest, in the turret of a Hummer or in a bail out bag. I have been able to light my truck up from a distance in a dimly lit parking lot and now my wife wants one too. I would recommend this flashlight to anyone that either works the night shift, has to find lost hikers in the mountains or the flexibility in switching from 1 lumen to 1020 lumens with just a push of a button"

Almost Perfect
"I was looking for a high lumen light that would run on 4 AA batteries and have the new Neutral White LED. I always use rechargeable AA batteries (Eneloop Pro) but if necessary when I am on a longer trip somewhere I can get batteries at any gas station. I wanted 4 AA batteries for the extra run time, with a small increase in size and weight which this Nitecore EA41 does well. I especially wanted the Neutral White LED which I realized is a big advantage in color accuracy and depth perception when actually trying to follow trails or no trails at night in forests or deserts. In addition my roommate does geocaching and one time I was helping her look in dense leaves on bushes and realized the flat grey colors the Cool White LED produces hinders your eyes from naturally picking out something that is not the same color as the surroundings. I definitely recommend this light for its features and cost if you are looking for a 4 AA battery light. And I will only by Neutral White LED's from now on as the brighter the light the more the Neutral White makes a big difference in seeing your surroundings accurately."
