"This is the latest of 4 Nitecore lights and is my least favorite. The on/off button is difficult to find with bare hands in the dark and dang near impossible with gloves. With my existing 18650 batteries the flashlight doesn't cycle through the modes correctly. No, I wasn't talking about the turbo mode or special ones, just the other four brightness levels. I ordered some new batteries based on advice from tech support and will try them. I'll keep the light for now as it's not worth sending it back given the cost of postage and the 15% restocking fee. At least the light works on the next to brightest mode which is ok for dog walking."

Good But,
"I bought this light on 11/28/17 as a back-up light for work. My main light is a P12 (2015) model I have had zero problems with my Main light going past 2 years now. Just recharge and switch batteries. I can't say this for the EC23, it worked great as an occasional use for brighter light. It stopped cycling in 1 month after I left the P12 at the house, I had the EC23 that night and used it as i would the Main light. I liked the brighter light so the P12 was my back-up now, until 01/13/2018 the button on the EC23 stopped cycling. just ultra low and low and have to hold button down to activate turbo,no more medium, high or strobe. Will return or get it fixed, I hope this is just an anomaly because the EC23 is a great light when it works"
