With a 365nm wavelength of light, the GEM 10 UV is ideal for identification of amber and diamond, fluorescer examination and currency validation. The ultraviolet light makes amber and diamond fluoresce, and makes natural jade appear transparent; if not, foreign materials are present. A uniquely styled rotatory ring interface allows users to set the intensity of the light anywhere from the maximum to zero, providing exactly the amount of UV light required.
