The HC50 has everything a good headlamp should offer. It has the power to brighten up a shadowy campsite, the durability to withstand nature's wrath, and the versatility to make it one of the handiest pieces of gear you'll pack. Its durability comes from a unique uni-body design. Constructed from a single piece of machined aluminum, the HC50 is rugged enough to withstand harsh impacts and submersion in up to two meters of water for 30 minutes. The ultra-bright turbo mode can be dimmed down to a number of lower settings so you can use this light to flood a whole meadow with light, or to light up a trail-map at an arm's length away. The HC50's adjustable head strap is designed to remain comfortable after extended use and the body of the light is designed to rotate 90 degrees up and down to allow you to cast light exactly here you need it.

On top of all the features and functionality, Nitecore also included a vision-saving red LED function. Red light allows you to illuminate your immediate surroundings without spoiling night vision so you can quickly asses your environment then go back to natural sight. The HC50 is fitted with a single switch on the side of the body to activate the light and cycle through modes. The switch also functions as a battery status indicator, glowing red when voltages drop too far.
