Good and Bad
"With the exception of one major flaw, I like everything about this light. The 14500 battery does not last long when using the Turbo mode for an extended time. Mine went a maximum of 15-20 minutes then the battery needed to be replaced. The 14500 are relatively inexpensive. Don't consider running this light using a AA battery. The tailcap button, instant-on for Turbo mode and size in-the-pocket are all very good. Lumens are also very good. This is a 'flood' beam and not so much a 'spot. ' If you're looking for really good distance, go with the MH20GT. The GT is the best long-throw beam for a light of this size. Make this model with an 16850 battery and I'll buy it."

Best small light ever seen (for mainly indoor use) in almost 40 years of my "flashlight obsession. "
"This MT10A has been my most used light -- for every type of indoor purpose -- that I have ever owned in almost 40 years experience w/all types of lights. It has all of the features I would put into a light if I designed it myself. Including an accurate indicator of remaining battery voltage, to the tenth of a volt! (Another reviewer here has evidently missed that feature entirely. It's in the instructions, of course. ) For indoor use, 920 lumens are rarely needed -- especially after eyes have adjusted to full darkness. And, to preserve night vision in up-close work -- the small red LED is priceless. This light has been superb in both form & function. I always have one within about ten feet of me, day & night. Always. My first was purchased here, from Batttery Junction years ago. Had I known then how well this performs, I could have asked for a volume discount. If you might give quality lights as gifts, the people you give this one to will certainly remember receiving such a gem. In the years since purchasing my first MT10A, it has been used almost every single day. That is no exagerration. And in those years, only one minor issue has been found. The ring inside the tailcap had come loose slightly, and needed only to be tightened w/the end of a pointed probe. THAT was the ONLY issue. And that happened only one time w/only the first one of the MT10A's that I own. For my purposes, I cannot imagine a better designed, more functional small light. And I say that being mindful of newer designs & newer emitters. If you need a quality small light, especially for multiple short use tasks -- day-in, day-out --- this is the one that I would wholeheartedly recommend. 14500 cells, of various makers, are always used in all of mine as they give the very best performance."

It's almost the best.
"Using for those dark walks, and not wanting to carry larger light, but still be able blind 'em when necessary. Fits nicely in hand , I like to have the pocket clip on as it helps fill out the grip in the palm. Good size thumb switch and can activate the mode selector switch with ring and little finger. The slightly orange peeled reflector is good for flood like light but I wished it had the reflector from the ea11. The red LED is still only good for night vision preservation at a slow walk With the power of this light(using 14500) it should be at least 3 times brighter. Beam pattern like the mt20 would be great. All in all it is almost the best."

High Quality, Compact, Feature-Rich Flashlight
"The Nitecore MT-10A is an excellent performer with lots of settings in a very compact package. I own two of these lights and use them ALL the time. Compared to other lights I own in a similar price range, the MT-10A is better. The brightest setting is really bright, more than what I need most of the time. I spend most of the time using a couple of the intermediate brightness settings. I'd recommend using a rechargeable lithium battery to get the most out of the light, but having the ability to also use AA batteries is an excellent feature -- most of us ALWAYS have some AA's sitting around to use in a pinch. That one feature alone is one of my primary considerations in choosing flashlights -- versatility in power sources, especially during power outages when a flashlight that's powered by rechargeable batteries only just doesn't cut it unless you've put in place a way to charge batteries off-the-grid. I'd rather have a light I can swap AA's into that's dimmer than a brighter rechargeable that doesn't work at all when I can't charge the battery. I'd highly recommend the MT-10A."

Amazing brightness from the AA sized 14500
"This is a well designed and functional flashlight. It can use a common AA but with the 3. 7 volt 14500 it's amazingly bright. I like all the different modes and it's easy to find what you want quickly. I'm going to order 6 more as Christmas presents"

The PERFECT EDC flashlight
"I'd be lost without this flashlight in pocket everyday. Lightweight and small Extremely bright and versatile tactical tailcoat switch strong pocket clip It has become as necessary in my pocket as my car keys or phone. Though a AA will get you by in a pinch, you're cheating yourself if you don't use the 14500 rechargeables."

Perfect EDC and travel light per no lithium battery rules
"Perfect little light. Great output with standard, buy anywhere AA batteries and super economy with NiMH rechargeable AA's. Nothing short of amazing output with the lithium 14500's. Compact size, light weight, and what a workhorse. And for air travel, since the ban on lithium batteries, this light is an even better choice. The price is a bit high, but what a quality little light for the money."

Bright and flexible AA flashlight with great UI
"I bought this light to clip to my baseball cap brim for my night time walks with my dog. I'm able to reverse the pocket clip and use the slot near the flashlight's head, and that works great. The clip is opposite the side switches, so the switches are on top and it's easy to change the brightness, especially with separate buttons to higher and lower brightness."
