One of Nitecore's BEST
"This is by far one of Nitecore's best flashlights that they have designed, the only fold on this light I have is that the memory mode works only if you wait at least 4 seconds before you turn the light off then back on, other than that everything about this light is near perfect with it's function and performance and especially the long runtimes it performs off of the 18650 batteries. The lumen setings along with the type of reflector are a perfect match along with the length of the light carries the perfect style of a search light and then adding a pocket clip with a tactical cigar ring add the awsome touch of a tactical look, so overall I love this light and I call it my personal Tactical Search Flashlight, lol."

"Wow does this light have the reach. I was looking for a spotlight type flashlight when I bought this and that is what I got. For the money don't think you can beat it and the nice thing about it is also has a real good spread or flood of light. Looking at the LED and comparing it to my nitecore p-10 & p-12 which also has a cree xm-l2 u2 LED this lights LED has been de-domed I guess that explains the reach nitecore gets with the xm-l2 u2 LED in this flashlight. This flashlight does have a more neutral color of light than the p-10 or p-12 which I really like."

Great Beam Distance!
"Bought this flashlight over a month ago, and its the best investment. The beam on this flashlight has a great hotspot with a good spill for flood as well. This type of flashlight is great for: Security/ Law Enforcement, camping, Search & Rescue, and owners of large property."

Amazing flashlight
"Have only used this unit a couple of times, but I'm amazed at the amount of area the flood portion of the beam covers and the distance the center of the beam covers. I have a couple of LARGE-HEAVY-SPOTLIGHTS and the Nitecore MT40GT outperforms them, hands down. The weight of the unit is great, and so far is super in every detail; I also like being able to use the rechargeable 18650 size batteries."

Warm light, exceptional value when on sale!
"Compared to the MT25 and MT26 that I own, this upgraded MT40GT has a much warmer tint. I like it a lot. It also has much more throw than the 25/26. If you are looking for something with more throw and longer battery life, give the MT40GT a look. It's a little large for EDC, but if you want something around in case of power outages, in your truck, etc. , it's worth consideration."

Throws a good, long beam!
"It is summer, with long days and short nights, so I haven't had a lot of opportunity to need a light like this yet, but have taken it out for testing. I was very impressed with the very bright spot and very adequate umbra. There is a very good transition between spot and umbra, just the way I like it. I was able to clearly see objects that I knew were over 2,000 metres from me. Note, I own a pet sitting business covering an area with lots of woods and wildlife. Occasionally, I have to find a lost pet, or identify predators. I have a night vision scope, and also thermal imaging, but to make a positive identification requires a real light source. This flash fills that void nicely. I appreciate the ability to use either 18650 or CR123 batteries. I use these batteries for radios, lasers, and a camera gimbal, so I always have plenty on hand, and several chargers."
