"I have quite a few 18650 batteries and needed to insure they are properly stored, grouped and most importantly, kept from possibly shorting in storage (contacting some external source). The price is right, the unit is non conducting, lightweight and provides a safe storage. I can group batteries by same-lot, health, most current charge and of course, group them to insure they remain 'married' as a set. The color option is an additional aide in grouping."
