Just below the head of the Smilodon a small rubber cap that can be removed to reveal a USB charging port. With use of a single lithium-ion 18650 battery, you can make the Smilodon fully rechargeable, recharging anywhere that you can find a powered USB port. For every day use, the rechargeable 18650 should be more than enough, but make sure to keep some CR123A's as back up.
