Optimal Charging Currents
The Nitecore UI2 is a dual-slot USB Li-ion battery charger that will quickly and easily bring life back to precious Li-ion batteries for all of your devices. With a max charging current of 800mA, it is easy to charge up batteries with over 2.9 volts of power. Simply insert the battery and Standard Mode will be activated. On the other hand, batteries with below 2.9V will automatically access Low Current Charging Mode which has a current of 100mA. No need to worry about picking a mode, the UI2 will do it all for you. Insert the batteries and then go about the rest of your day with no worries. Plus, the UI2 will terminate the charging current after the battery is fully charged, preventing overcharging. The Nitecore UI2 has two LED indicators that will provide a real-time display of battery level and charging status to quickly check over battery status before heading off.
Charging Safeguards
With charging safeguards in place, it is easier than ever to leave your batteries to charge up without worry of overheating or overcharging. Anti-short circuiting and reverse polarity protections prevent a battery improperly inserted or short circuited from being charged - instead an error message will flash on the LED indicator. Ultimately saving the charger and the batteries from any harm. Additionally, with an Intelligent Thermal Protection system, the charger will prevent overheating due to a high temperature work environment by automatically regulating the charging current thus protecting the charger and battery from overheating as well.
Designed for Portability
Designed to be powered by a USB cable, the Nitecore UI2 is designed to, utlimately, be a portable charger. The micro-USB cord is compatible with USB adapters, power banks, or can easily be input into a computer if you're staying put. The size of the charger also lends itself to being a portable product, with less than 5" of length and weight less than 3 ounces, it is easy to travel with in a backpack or pocket. Never have your batteries die without a charger readily available again!
