Big, But Durable Protection for your Eyeglass Investment
"Yes, this is big. Bigger than heavy. Backpacking nights in tent or hammock means expensive eyewear has to go somewhere. Even those with pricy sunglasses rather than expensive eyeglasses also need to protect their investment. Those with deep pockets may be inclined to put their eyewear at risk, but in the outback with glaring sun or difficult terrain, you will hurt from breaking eyewear that keeps you safe. So, then, having such a durable case to protect your eyewear is simply reasonable not to mention exercising caution. This will live in my pack with my sleep gear or in its brain for quicker access if needed. The tethered microfiber cleaning cloth is a great value-add, too. No question it will be needed on a trek, and there it is, ready to clean your glasses up when you get up and get ready for the day."

Effective protection, convenient access
"I have owned several Nite Ize phone cases over the years, and have come to appreciate the secure attachment of the fully-rotatable heavy-duty nylon clip with the J-hook at the bottom that they feature, and I was expecting this to be the same clip that was on this case, also. Unfortunately, this was not the clip that the company put on this item; instead, they decided to use a clip design that makes it far easier to attach and remove it from belts, straps, or anything else. I was puzzled by this choice, and it is the only reason this rating is not a five-star rating, but I was able to use the nylon webbing loop with a carabiner to attach this case to my belt. (Since I often wear shirts without pockets, I needed a way to attach the case to my belt, and I found this to be an acceptable option. ) I was initially a little leery about the idea of the attached microfiber cleaning cloth, but it does seem to be quite firmly attached to the case, and it is large enough to be useful for its intended purpose. The zippered lid is easy to access, and the pull is a loop of nylon cord (similar to paracord) with what feels to be a nylon fob, so the pull stays out of the way when not in use, but is easy to grab when needed, whether opening or closing. The case is somewhat flexible, so it will not provide __complete__ crush protection (I wouldn't try stomping on this case while my sunglasses were in it, for instance), but it certainly provides enough protection for my needs. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase; if it came with the clip I had gotten used to from my previous Nite Ize purchases, I would have given it five stars."
