"This chemical composition of this battery allows it to draw > 2A current continuously. This may not seem important, but in the case of S1 baton, the high mode (~ 500 lumens) draws a lot of power. When I used a regular 16340 battery, the light would cut off when switched to high mode in only a few seconds. It won't turn on again unless I remove the battery and put it back in. I tried two different brands of battery and the problem persisted. This was very annoying and I thought the light was defective! Then I realized it might be the battery's protection circuit that's shutting the light off. I ordered this high drain battery and the S1 now functions perfectly, no more shut-off problem!"
