The S2R has all the strength you expect from Olight. Thick-anodized, aircraft grade aluminum keeps the body light but durable. Drop-proof from waist level (1.5 meters) and waterproof up to 2 meters, the S2R makes other LED flashlights look like delicate flowers. With a magnetized tailcap, lanyard hole, and removable clip, you can mount, carry, or hang the S2R anywhere. "This is my new favorite edc flashlight. It is a very bright flood beam. I can easily go through the brightness levels for different needs. It does require the Olight ORB-186C32 or the ORB-186C35 battery to be able to use the magnetic charging feature. The light will work fine with other 18650 batteries, they just will not charge with the magnetic charger."

"I replaced my unreliable S30 with this S2R and I Hope it proves more reliable. So far it is reliable. It is smaller and lighter than the S30 and great for EDC. The light is mostly a flood light, not good for great distance. Still bright enough to light my yard but spills on the neighbors houses. BE WARNED, it has a special battery that has + and - on one end, allowing it to charge on the strong magnetic base. Charging base and light are reliable so far. I place the pocket clip opposite the button to make finding the button easier. It has only turned on once in my pocket so far, it does have a lockout mode if needed. I'm impressed that it generates half the heat of the s30 on turbo. Operation is good, i like turbo mode with 2 presses of the button. I am surprised to like the timer option. Time will tell if it holds up the EDC. Lacks battery indicator but will NOT go into turbo mode if low battery. Side Note, I wish Battery Junction would allow reviews to be updated. . . . . . Hello"
