Battery upgrade for Olight SR51

"My Olight SR51 only came with the battery magazine for CR123 batteries, so I wanted to get this magazine to be able to use 18650 batteries. The magazine has the usual springs for the negative end of the battery, so even without any or - markings, it's easy to tell how to insert the batteries. The magazine fits perfectly inside, no rattling or loose connections. I was able to use both protected and unprotected batteries. I only have button top batteries, so I don't know if flat top batteries will work."

thoughtless designed

"I purchased two of these about three months ago. This little item has a chip at the presumed positive end of the magazine, where it makes contact with the Olight circuitry. You sort of get what you pay for. . . . . it is easy to insert the batteries with incorrect polarity. In that instance, this magazine will burn out and not work. Basically the chip is fried. Be careful, it gets hot. It is not labeled as to which is positive or negative. A better design would prevent such episodes. I guess you should buy these in quantity."
