Bright, pristine white light, but. . .
"First of all, I really like this light. It squeezes a lot of lumens out of AA batteries, and has a range of brightness levels, plus strobe and SOS modes. What I like most is the pure white color of the light it emits. It has a nice beam, not too spotty or too floody, just a nice round circle with soft fall-off to adequate peripheral illumination. The user interfaces - twist for turbo mode - useful outdoors when you always want it to come on at the brightest setting. The multi-modes are achieved by first turning the front of the light toward loosening the threads (not much turn required), then pressing the tail switch to cycle through the modes. This can be done without having to click it each time as a gentle press on the tail switch gives a momentary-on (a feature I like a lot). I don't like having to cycle through modes, however, to get to the one I want. I also find that if I'm using the momentary mode to do a lot of short checks into areas, I sometimes inadvertently advance the mode to the next level and have to cycle through all the modes to get back to the one I wanted to be in. Can be aggravating. It's a nicely made light with beautiful craftsmanship and a good LED. I would recommend it with the caveat that the buyer be aware they have to cycle through modes if not in the turbo setting."

Very Good Flashlight.
"Just received my Jetbeam PA20. I own a Jetbeam BA10 and BA20 purchased from battery Junction. All three of these models have the purest white light of all the flashlights I own. The machining and anodizing on the PA20 is high quality. I have used the BA series extensively. My PA20 is made to a even higher quality standard. I am very pleased with my purchase and am sure it will give me years of great service both indoors and out."

Being bright doesn\'t make it great!
"1st-It produces plenty of light, but there are a lot of lights that do that. It is the interface and usability that is a miserable failure. Tighten the head and use \'turbo\' mode-OK that\'s great, but we don\'t always, perhaps rarely, need that much light. Then, the reason I bought them (I ordered TWO! UGH!!!): From the manual: In User-defined mode, users can choose customized brightness levels and a multitude of functions. The brightness levels are NOT custom-there are 5 -dim, ON, and BRIGHT, SOS and STROBE. This light will \'cycle\' through those 5 modes. That\'s it! There are NOT a multitude of functions. What\'s worse, is it goes from Hi to low, so if you are in LOW and need a little more light-your NEXT \'click\' is STROBE. Finally-as if cycling through 4 \'modes\' to get to your desired level of light seems like a small obstacle, it is the tail-switch that makes this a TOTAL failure. It does NOT have a soft-press function. (Unless, I got TWO bad ones) You have to rapidly turn the light OFF, then ON, to get to the next light level/mode. This light will collect dust-I am buying another Fenix! The user-defined mode is MUCH better described as \'Returns to previous state\'. If you turn it OFF in STROBE, it comes back on in STROBE."

Good work light
"I bought this to replace an old light. It works well. The clip is removable for switch up or down carry. All around seems very dependable and very bright. I carry it for work every day and would be lost without it. Good little work horse."
