Convenient Converting
If you're looking to replace your traditional "D" batteries, look no further than the spacer kit. The AA Eneloop Rechargeable cells act in place of a traditional "D" cell battery. Insert 1 x AA Eneloop battery into the D spacers to use in D size applications. With a more lightweight feel, eliminate the hassle of finding replacements. Eneloop AA batteries with "D" spacers are great for use when standard cells are not readily available or for emergency use.
Warning: Batteries are NOT included with the spacers. Note that D cell spacers are designed to fit only one AA battery at a time.

"We got these to replace some older AA to D adapters we had. These adapters work a lot better. They don't rattle and they also protect the cells. We used to get dents on the top button and flat negative terminal of our batteries from the top of one adapters pushing directly into the bottom of the cell since the bottom of the old adapters was completely open. These adapters enclose the cells completely and prevent this from happening. The other problem with our old adapters was that the spring in some items had a larger diameter than the negative terminal of a AA cell. The negative terminal on the base of this adapter is just the right size, so I don't have to modify the battery springs of devices just so that I can use rechargeable AA batteries. These make using rechargeable batteries in devices that use AA painless and easy."

Good Concept, yet . . .
"My Only purpose for these was to power my radio's ""Preset"" Backups ( & Clock). I had hoped for a longer Energy span, but started getting ""Weak Battery"" indicators, It was only in use a week. the Spacer states ""Only for use with Rechargeables"" and I am, Indeed a Dedicated NIMet Hydride user. I will use a higher mA rated battery and check results, I hope that works."
