The 2000 Sabrelite has the distinguished honor of being the world's most safety approved flashlight. A whole host of features mean this light meets a number of standards set forth by the world's leading authorities including SA, FM, UL, and IECex Class 1 ratings. What's all that mean? It means the most prestigious independent specialists have cleared this light to work in hazardous environments and with hazardous materials. Some of the functions that earned the SabreLite these high ratings are an O-ring sealed, twist on shroud, a polarity battery guard to protect against "outgassing", and an unbreakable ABS resin body - resistant to chemicals, corrosion, and extreme temperatures. On top of all the approvals and ratings, this is a great light. A bright Xenon bulb powered by 3 C batteries produces a bright 33 lumen white beam.
