"I'm always looking for innovative ways to carry my CR123A cells. Keeping safe from moisture and shock. With a Pelican 1010 case, this perfect!"
"Overall great product, however you will need to trim the foam slightly to make it fit in your case, makes some of the battery slots super snug however that is not necessarily a bad thing."
"bit of a squeeze but does job of holding batteries snug"
"This is just a chunk of dense foam, with holes in it for holding batteries. The one I got, didn't have the holes cut/drilled straight, however it does do it's job - holding batteries."
"I already owned a couple of the Pelican 1010 cases that were free promo items from elsewhere, so I ordered one of these inserts just for shiggles. It has a nice snug fit into the case, as well as the batteries into the insert. The quality of the foam itself is a bit disappointing, however. It is NOT the foam rubber, or pick-n-pluck type foam you might expect. (Looking more closely at the product image again, that is more apparent. ) The foam material is more akin to packing peanuts, although not quite as cheap. It is crushable though, and one corner of mine was flattened in shipping. I placed that corner to the bottom, and it isn't visible and doesn't effect function, so I won't worry about a replacement. It's fine for now, but I wonder if over time the battery holes might stretch out, making the batteries loose. We'll see. . . To be fair, perhaps this foam (more plastic than rubbery-feeling) may have been specifically chosen for durability reasons, since some foam-rubber material can disintegrate over time and exposure to heat, etc. I'm no chemist. The other drawback is price. Four bucks seems too much, even considering the custom cut of this piece. I'm guessing there's a tremendous markup here. About half the price would seem more reasonable. I'm marking it Recommended, since it does work well if you already happen to have the Pelican case and want a sturdy battery holder."
"It fit my pelican case perfectly and works as advertised. Not much to it."
