Powertac E2 Keychain LED Light - Gen IV
Keychain-Mounted Light Cannon
Powertac has been refining and developing their E2 model for years, and this 4th generation may have reached utter perfection. It takes a single AA battery, and transforms it into a stunning 188 lumen light beam. One of the smallest lights to use the CREE XP-G2 R5 LED, the E2 Gen IV is designed to travel on your keychain.
Useful for Self-Defense
Designed here in the USA, the E2 Gen IV has two features that make it handy for self-defense in addition to general-purpose lighting. First, there's a strobe mode that can be used to disorient an attacker at close range. The rapid flickering of the LED at full brightness will stun any eyes that have adjusted to the dark. Second, if push comes to shove, the front edge (or "bezel") of the light is designed for striking. Holding the E2 firmly in your hand and hitting with the light-up end will add extra force to your blow. First they'll see the strobe, then they'll see stars.
Rough and Tumble
Powertac has designed flashlights for intense applications like military usage, law enforcement, and search & rescue. They've used that knowledge when crafting and upgrading the E2. Even with its tiny form factor, the E2 Gen IV has the highest possible waterproofness rating of IPX-8. It can be submerged under 2 m of water and still operate for 30 minutes. And the hard anodized, aircraft quality aluminum body can take any knocks you throw at it.
