Far-Throwing Headlamp

One of the more versatile headlamps on the market, the Princeton Tec® Apex Headlamp is the perfect hands-free illuminator for personal and professional use alike. Powered by four common AA batteries, this powerful lamp is able to generate up to 350 Lumens of stunning brightness, clearly illuminating anything in your line of sight. The Apex's powerful Maxbright LED produces an incredibly far-reaching spotlight, capable of reaching up to 120 meters away on High and throwing as far as 67 meters while on Low. If distance isn't your top lighting priority, this versatile headlamp still has you covered. Equipped with 4 secondary Ultrabright LEDs, the Apex can also produce a less intense, more evenly dispersed floodlight that is better for use in close quarters or if you want a clearer look at everything in front of you. The spotlight and floodlight options are controlled by separate switches, making it easy to choose the proper mode to fit your specific lighting needs.

Colorful Options

As if the Apex wasn't versatile enough, the Apex is even available with optional colored secondary LEDs to provide even more versatility and functionality. Available exclusively with the black body, the 4 white Ultrabright LEDs can be switched out for either red or green LEDs, which can be useful while hunting or other tactical activities. The Red LEDs can be used to help preserve your natural night vision while the Green LEDs are less disruptive to wildlife, allowing you to observe nature at night without disturbing it. PLEASE NOTE: The Black body has been discontinued.

Intrinsically Safe

In addition to providing lighting options for many situations, the Apex is built to function in the roughest conditions, making it ideal for professional work or extreme outdoor activities. The Apex comes with a number of safety certifications, including the ability to use in areas with hazardous gases, vapors, and combustible dusts. Earning an impressive IPX-7 rating in water resistance, this headlamp can be submerged under a meter of water for up to 30 minutes without any damage, perfect for use in inclement weather or near bodies of water.
