Don't let the sun going down limit your ability to stay active; continue all of your favorite outdoor activities after dark with the Princeton Tec® Apex Extreme Headlamp. Powered by 8 common AA batteries (included), this impressive headlamp is capable of generating up to 350 Lumens of brilliant illumination that can throw as far as 120 meters, allowing its user to clearly view anything in their direct line of sight. In addition to the far-reaching spotlight generated from its primary Maxbright LED, the Apex Extreme also features two pairs of Ultrabright LEDs that produce a wider, more evenly dispersed floodlight that gives you a much fuller view of what is in front of you, perfect for use in close spaces or around the campsite. The floodlight even comes with a special flashing output which can be used as an efficient signal in emergency situations or to simply mark your position. The spotlight and floodlight outputs are controlled by separate easy-to-use switches located on the bottom of the lamp, making it easy to choose the output that best fits your lighting needs.

Designed For the Active User

While its lighting technology is certainly impressive, it's the Extreme's specialized design that makes it the "apex" headlamp for the active outdoor enthusiast. Unlike most headlamps, which typically keep their batteries on the back or inside the lamp itself, the Apex Extreme's power supply comes in an independent battery pouch that can be clipped to the user's waist, making the headlamp lighter for your head and allowing for better overall mobility while wearing it. The specially-designed pouch also allows it to hold 8 AA batteries, twice as much as the other Apex models, which gives it substantially longer runtimes so you won't need to worry about losing light when you need it most.
