Regulated Dual LEDs
The Princeton Tec Apex 550 is the brightest headlamp in the professional series. It features dual LEDs and two control buttons to make changing between modes easier and more accessible. The Apex incorporates a single regulated Maxbright LED, four regulated Ultrabright LEDs, and a LED optic collimator to put out an amazing 550 lumens. Switch between the powerful spot beam mode for close to mid-range tasks, or a bright flood to reach further distances. The Maxbright LED is the highest quality LED available, emitting a smooth, powerful, white light ideal for night time or caving adventurers. The Ultrabright LEDs are grouped together to offer a more powerful light source with a wide beam fitting for up-close tasks, perfect for trade work, camping or preparedness. Princeton Tec's proprietary LED optic collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more efficient than a standard reflector. Each collimator is calibrated to the type of LED and application of each light, maximizing the output of each mode. All LEDs in this versatile headlamp are also dimmable, making sure you are only using the necessary battery power for the tasks at hand, maximizing efficiency.
Powerful Technology
The Apex 550 Headlamp has an IPX7 rating for its lights that provide waterproof integrity down to one meter for up to 30 minutes, perfect for on the water adventurers or any weather condition. The revolutionized battery housing displays a battery power meter that provides continuous feedback on the condition of your batteries, helping you determine if you need to change them, or pack a spare set for your next adventure. The Princeton Tec proprietary heatsink technology also allows the integrated LEDs to burn brighter and longer.
