Best Headlamp out there!

"I've been an LED fan since the 1st low power lights in the 1990's cost $60. I've owned over a dozen headlamps, including some really expensive ones used for rescue or cave work. But for the money and the practical use, this is the best one out there that I can find regardless of the price. I use Duracell pre-charged batteries and carry a set of 4 in a little box. I rotate these out as needed, pointed one way, they are 'good', pointed the other they are 'bad'. This keeps me in batteries for long hikes and outdoor chores. I also would love a lower level white light, but really the simplicity of the overall design and ease of switching from spotlight to perfect wide area work like is unmatched and incredibly useful when working with others. Just try one if you are doubtful, you'll not be disappointed! !"

A Nearly Perfect Headlamp

"I bought my first of these headlamps around 2007 at Walmart. It's 2014 as I write this and I still haven't found a better inexpensive headlamp. I have given them to friends and family, have worn through a couple of them, and have three at the moment. Battery Junction is the only place that has consistently stocked these awesome lights and their customer service has always been second to none. These lights hold up well to hard military and professional use and are inexpensive to replace if broken or lost. These are my absolute favorite cheap headlamps. I keep them as back-ups/loaners at work, keep one in the truck, and one in the garage. This is what I give to people as a gift when they need a headlamp. I have more expensive Streamlight, Petzl, and Nitecore headlamps also. These get more use. While the IR, low modes, and helmet mount of the Streamlight have their advantages, the lack of a tailcap lockout on that light makes me use these instead sometimes. If these had a low mode and a hard selector switch, these would be the only headlamps I used. Period. . . And I use a lot of headlamps."

perfect light

"Excellent all around light, versatile compact and convenient. solid build, can be held in teeth for precise position control when using for close up work. Small enough to wear around neck all the time. I wish it had lower power white otherwise it\'s perfect."

lightweight

"I really enjoy the lightness and multicolor options this light. the diffuser is clever and functions well. The short battery life is offset with the fact that it only takes one battery. Comfortable and easy to wear, and very versatile."
